A failed outburst of H 1743 - 322

چکیده
We report on a campaign of X-ray and soft γ-ray observations of the black hole candidate H 1743-322 (also named IGR J17464-3213), performed with the RXTE, INTEGRAL and Swift satellites. The source was observed during a short outburst between 2008 October 03 and 2008 November 16. The evolution of the hardness-intensity diagram throughout the outburst is peculiar, in that it does not follow the canonical pattern through all the spectral states (the so called q-track pattern) seen during the outburst of black-hole transients. On the contrary, the source only makes a transition from the Hard State to the Hard-Intermediate State. After this transition, the source decreases in luminosity and its spectrum hardens again. This behaviour is confirmed both by spectral and timing analysis. This kind of outburst has been rarely observed before in a transient black hole candidate

INTEGRAL observations of the black hole candidate H 1743−322 in outburst
INTEGRAL made 3 observations in 2003 April of the black hole candidate H 1743−322 during the rising part, and close to the maximum, of an outburst. H 1743−322 was previously observed in outburst in 1977–1978. The source is located in a crowded region of the sky (l = 357, b = −2) and at least 18 sources are clearly detected in the field of view of the ISGRI gamma-ray imager during a 277 ks expos...

We report on the formation and evolution of two large-scale, synchrotron-emitting jets from the black hole candidate H 1743−322 following its reactivation in 2003. In November 2003 after the end of its 2003 outburst, we noticed, in observations with the Australia Telescope Compact Array, the presence of a new and variable radio source about 4.6 ′′ to the East of H 1743−322, that was later found...
متن کاملDisc – jet coupling in the 2009 outburst of the black hole candidate H 1743 − 322
We present an intensive radio and X-ray monitoring campaign on the 2009 outburst of the Galactic black hole candidate X-ray binary H1743−322. With the high angular resolution of the Very Long Baseline Array, we resolve the jet ejection event and measure the proper motions of the jet ejecta relative to the position of the compact core jets detected at the beginning of the outburst. This allows u...

We observed the bright phase of the 2003 outburst of the Galactic black hole candidate H 1743−322 in Xrays simultaneously with Chandra and RXTE on four occasions. The Chandra/HETGS spectra reveal narrow, variable (He-like) Fe XXV and (H-like) Fe XXVI resonance absorption lines. In the first observation, the Fe XXVI line has a FWHM of 1800± 400 km/s and a blue-shift of 700± 200 km/s, suggesting ...
متن کاملModeling the Broadband Spectral Energy Distribution of the Microquasars XTE J 1550 – 564 and H 1743 – 322
We report results from a systematic study of the spectral energy distribution (SED) and spectral evolution of XTE J1550–564 and H 1743–322 in outburst. The jets of both sources have been directly imaged at both radio and X-ray frequencies, which makes it possible to constrain the spectrum of the radiating electrons in the jets. We modelled the observed SEDs of the jet ‘blobs’ with synchrotron e...
